Lots of choice for the ceremony is the standout here.
Where you can say I do
There are two licensed rooms in the Hall. The High Room makes quite an entrance for up to 45 guests, and in the Oak Room you can come down the staircase, for up to 70 (both figures from the venue's website). For bigger weddings, the Carriage House holds up to 150. And if you'd like an outdoor ceremony, the Walled Garden is licensed too.
The micro wedding packages also mention legal ceremonies in the Library. It's a house full of collections and history, so if you love old houses, there's a lot to look at between photos.
Packages
Lamport sets out its weddings as packages, including small midweek options with a tasting menu and a dedicated wedding coordinator. Every package includes use of the grounds and gardens for photographs, which at a house like this is a big part of the appeal.
For bigger weddings, ask how the Carriage House and the gardens work together through the day, and how long you have the house for photographs. If you're planning a midweek micro wedding, it's also worth asking how many guests the packages cover and what extra guests would cost. The hall's Stables Cafe and gardens make it a nice place to visit on a normal day first, to get a feel for it.
Entertainment ideas
For a micro wedding, entertainment can be just one special touch. A magician at the table after the meal is a lovely surprise. Lewis Joss belongs to The Magic Circle and does exactly that kind of close, personal magic. For a bigger do in the Carriage House, think about an audio guest book.
