The Stanwick Hotel

The Stanwick Hotel is on West Street in Stanwick, a village between Rushden and Raunds in the east of the county. It's in a quiet rural spot, built around two courtyards, with two acres of landscaped gardens.

It's a good one to know about if you're from the Rushden or Raunds end of things and want to keep it local.

What's here

There's a restaurant and bars, plus spaces for weddings, functions and events. The hotel offers a range of tailored wedding packages, set out in its brochures, from smaller gatherings up to larger celebrations.

The A45 runs close by, which makes it easy to reach from Northampton, Wellingborough and Thrapston. Rushden Lakes is also nearby if guests fancy a wander the next day. When you visit, ask to see both courtyards and the gardens, and which spaces are used for the ceremony and drinks. Then ask about room rates for guests.

Rooms

The hotel has 30 rooms. Nine of those are in the Tudor house, which is a nice touch if you want somewhere with a bit of history for the wedding night. Family can stay on site and there's a restaurant for the morning after.

Ask for the wedding brochure for the details on ceremonies, packages and room capacities, as those aren't on the homepage. It's also worth asking about Friday or Sunday dates, as hotels often have more flexibility on those days.

Entertainment that suits Stanwick

Courtyards and gardens are a great setting for strolling magic while you're having photos. As a local Northamptonshire agency, our wedding magicians are only a short drive away. Later on, a fun casino is a good shout for a hotel function room, especially if you've got a crowd who like a flutter (with play money, of course).

Kids at the wedding? A children's entertainer during the meal gives parents a breather.
