The hotel does weddings through a set of packages, which suits couples who'd rather not price up every last chair cover.
The packages
The venue lists Classic, Elegant and Fairytale packages, plus a Civil Ceremony package and an Evening Package. The Classic one, for example, includes a menu tasting for the couple, a drinks reception, a three-course wedding breakfast, wine for the toast, an evening finger food menu and a suite for the happy couple. The menus are local in places too, with Brixworth pâté on the classic menu.
Smaller weddings can use one of the hotel's private dining rooms, which is nice if you're keeping the numbers tight.
Why a hotel works
Rooms, a restaurant and a spa all under one roof. Guests can check in, change, and not worry about getting home. And the morning after, a spa session is a pretty good cure for a late night.
A practical tip with any package wedding: check exactly what's included for evening guests, because it's often a different list from the day guests. Ask about room rates for your guests and whether there's a block you can hold. And if you're mixing in some of your own suppliers, ask how they work with the hotel's team on timings. A quick chat early on saves a lot of back and forth later.
Entertainment that suits it
Hotel weddings can sometimes feel a bit samey, so the entertainment is where you add personality. A photo booth or magic mirror in the evening is always busy. During the drinks reception, a close-up magician gets people talking. We're based in Corby, just up the road, so we know Kettering well.
