Chapel Brampton, near Northampton · Country house hotel

Sedgebrook Hall

Sedgebrook Hall is at Chapel Brampton, just north of Northampton. It describes itself as a countryside manor, and it's a hotel with sweeping gardens, a leisure club and rooms on site.

The appeal is pretty simple. Everyone stays close, the coordinators handle the detail, and the grounds give you room to breathe.

Spaces for the day

The venue offers indoor and outdoor spaces for ceremonies and receptions. Its seasonal packages use the Oak Suite for both the ceremony and the reception, on an exclusive basis. Packages are priced on the site and include things like the wedding breakfast and an evening buffet, so check the latest details there.

A hotel wedding can be a lot less stressful for the couple. The coordinators know the building, the catering is in house, and you're not organising a dozen deliveries. If you want more of a say over things, ask what flexibility there is within the packages, especially on menus and timings. And if your dog's part of the plan, mention it at the first chat. Then ask about the gardens for photos.

For your guests

On-site accommodation is a big part of the pitch, and hotel guests can use the leisure facilities, including the pool. It's pet friendly too. If you're dreaming of your dog walking you down the aisle, ask about it.

They hold wedding fayres through the year (the next one listed when we checked was in January 2027), which is a good chance to have a look round with the coordinators. Saves everyone a drive home after a long day.

Entertainment that suits Sedgebrook

The gardens are perfect for a drinks reception with some roaming magic. We'd suggest one of our wedding magicians to keep guests entertained while you're off with the photographer. Later, a fun casino in the evening is a good alternative to the dance floor for guests who'd rather not.
